1. Introduction

This policy explains how HASI (“we”) collects and uses your personal data when you use istreamophthalmology.com. For any privacy question, contact support@istreamophthalmology.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account information you give us: your name and email address. Your password is stored only as a secure one-way hash — we never see or store it in plain text.
• Subscription information: your plan and status, and identifiers returned by our payment partner (for example a subscription reference). We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank details — those are handled directly by Razorpay.
• Usage and technical data: basic log information such as your IP address, browser type and pages accessed, used to run and secure the service.
• Cookies: a single essential session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a cookie used to count unique visitors. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. How we use your data

To create and manage your account; authenticate you; provide the content appropriate to your subscription; process subscriptions and payments (via Razorpay); provide support; communicate important service or account messages; maintain security and prevent misuse; comply with law; and improve the Platform.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. When you subscribe, your payment details are provided directly to Razorpay and are subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy and security. We receive only limited information such as payment status and a subscription reference.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: our hosting provider (to run the site), our payment partner Razorpay (to process subscriptions), and, where required, to comply with law or protect our rights. Any providers we use are expected to protect your data.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your account (see below).

7. Security

We use reasonable technical measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and safeguards against common web attacks. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email support@istreamophthalmology.com.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for medical and optometry students and professionals and is not directed at children. If you believe a minor has provided us data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will address it.

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date will change and material updates will be posted here.
